One of our programs is picking up trash. On a certain day, all the volunteers gather around and pick up trash. These volunteers do receive the number of hours they worked. Picking up trash is important because the environment is neater. Usually, plastic is the most common trash left on roads and it's very bad for the environment. Since plastic takes a long time to decompose, it ends up seeping through groundwater, so it's important to help pick this trash up and place it in its designated area.
Another program we're doing is planting trees. Another program we're doing is a volunteering opportunity where we plant trees to make a difference in the environment and reduce pollution! Volunteers will gather together and plant trees, and they will all be informed about the number of hours they worked. Trees play a crucial role in mitigating air pollution by absorbing harmful pollutants and releasing oxygen. By participating, you're directly contributing to cleaner air and a healthier community. It's a simple yet impactful way to combat pollution and create a more sustainable future.
We’re lastly doing a small program on educating people about our environment. Our main goal is to show how important the environment is for us because the health of the environment maintains our health too. Also, we’re thinking of showing how human activity leads to negative effects such as climate change, global warming, and pollution. Breathing toxic air, having harmful gasses released into the air which affect climate, and different changes in weather will especially be discussed in this program.
